Viasat and manufacturer <strong>Airbus<\/strong> are investigating the cause of the issue and if the satellite will be able to perform its mission<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Airbus advised the anomaly is an \u201cunprecedented event,\u201d as it has never had a telecommunications satellite fail in orbit<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">But it\u2019s not unprecedented for Viasat \u2014 this could be the company\u2019s second recent satellite failure.
